D. Y. Patil College of Pharmacy, Kadamwadi, Kolhapur has organized Elocution Competition & Guest lecture on the occasion of “International Women’s Day” on 8th March, 2023.
The program has hosted by the Mrs. Snehal Kulkarni madam. Program started with the introductory speech by Kulkarni ma’am. Then the nine students have participated into the speech competition on women’s day.
Then, watering of plant done by the Chief Guest & the Principal Sir. Principal sir Dr. C. M. Jangme sir felicitated chief guest with the flowers, Shaal & Sreefal & a small gift as a token of lov on the behalf of institute. The introduction of chief guest done by Mrs. Snehal Kulkarni ma’am.
Further, Dr. C. M. Jangme sir, addressed the students about the importance of women and guided the students with his pertinent speech. The Principal Sir has motivated the students.
Then the mike was handed over to Chief Guest Mrs. Shrilekha Satam ma’am. In her speech she guided students with her expertise of time management, discipline. She talked about the importance of hard work & consistency in the work. She also focused on the misuse of the internet and social media. She motivated students with her talk. She suggested students to complete the extracurricular courses which will be beneficial for the personality development. She told that doing extra activities and courses will improve personality as well as it’s beneficial for their career.
The result declaration of the speech competition and prize distribution done by the Chief Guest and Principal Sir. The first winner of the today’s competition was Ms. Apurva Sanjay Kambale (B. Pharm. 1st year), followed by second winner was Ms. Vaishnavi Chavan (B. Pharm. 1st year) and the 3rd winner Ms. Nandini Shinde (D. Pharm. 1st year).
And then, cake cutting done by the chief guest, ladies staff and the winners of the competition to celebrate the International Women’s Day.
At last, the program ended by the vote of thanks which was given by Ms. Samruddhi Patil ma’am. And lastly, the refreshment for the guest, students, and faculty was arranged.
On June 21st, 2023, D.Y.Patil college of celebrated the 9th International Yoga Day with great enthusiasm. The event attended by Principal, Faculty of the University, all of whom demonstrated a keen interest in this ancient practice. The objective of this year’s celebration, themed “Yoga for Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam,” was to connect with a larger global community and promote the widespread adoption of yoga in every village in India.
The event commenced with a comprehensive introduction to Yoga Day by Dr. Shruti Shinde, the program kicked off with warm-up exercises, during which all faculty members actively participated. They guided through various sitting and standing asanas, with simultaneous explanations of their significance. The instructors emphasized the importance of incorporating yoga into daily life and maintaining harmony between the body and mind. The session lasted for over an hour, witnessing active participation and engagement from all attendees. The yoga instructors provided detailed explanations of each pose and offered guidance on precautions to taken. Undoubtedly, it proved to be a successful event.
The celebration concluded with a token of appreciation presented to the esteemed guests by Dr. C.M. Jangme sir, the felicitation acknowledged their valuable presence
National Technology Day is celebrated every year on May 11, to mark Indian technological advancement. The day, May 11, has been declared National Technology Day by the Indian Government in order to commemorate the history of India’s technological capability and expertise. The day holds importance of its own, as on this particular day, India achieved a huge technological progression. The first, indigenous aircraft “Hansa-3” was test flown from Bangalore. India performed successful test firing of the Trishul missile on the same day and also executed three successful nuclear tests, carried out at Pokhran, in Rajasthan. It was only on May 11, 1998, when India successfully tested 5 nuclear powered bombs in Pokhran, Rajasthan, to demonstrate its defence capability. This is regarded as one of the significant moments of Indian history.
The National Technology Day has a different theme every year. The theme for this year’s National Technology Day is “School to Startups- Igniting Young Minds to Innovate”. The programs and celebrations for the 2023 National Technology Day will have a special focus on the Atal Innovation Mission, a government initiative to promote “a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship across the length and breadth of our country
For 2023, the theme is ‘School to Startups-Igniting Young Minds to Innovate.’ Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the programme marking National Technology Day 2023, at Pragati Maidan, on 11th May 2023 at 10:30 AM. The programme will also mark the commencement of the celebration of the 25th year of National Technology Day, which will be held from May 11 to 14, 2023”. D. Y. Patil College of Pharmacy celebrated “NATIONAL TECHNOLOGY DAY “on May 11th 2023, Total 42 students along with one faculty member attended the live program.

D. Y. Patil College of Pharmacy, Kadamwadi, Kolhapur, has organised the program on the occasion of “Marathi Rajbhasha Din” on Monday, 27th February 2023. The program was held at the auditorium of Dr. D. Y. Patil Hospitals Kadamwadi, Kolhapur.
The program was started by the felicitation. Dr. C. M. Jangme Sir, Principal D. Y. Patil College of Pharmacy, Kadamwadi, Kolhapur addressed the audience by his speech.
Dr. Abhinandan Patil sir, Associate professor, D. Y. Patil College of Pharmacy, Kadamwadi, Kolhapur gave the information on Marathi language with respect to its speciality among the other languages, its historical development and other special information.
Mr. Jaykedar Porlekar Assistant Professor D. Y. Patil College of Pharmacy, Kadamwadi, Kolhapur was the host for the program.
All the students enthusiastically participated for the celebration. After the speech of Dr. Abhinandan Patil sir, the program was later continued with different activities by the students.
The students’ activities are completed in an enthusiastic way. The activities were started by the speech of few students who delivered nice talks on the language in terms of its history, present status its speciality along with its future aspects. Few students sang Marathi songs individually as well as in groups, which enhanced the beauty of the program. A group of students sang the Powada song which made everyone delighted. At the last part of the program, by forming groups of students, Antakshari was enjoyed by everyone.

Aiming to promote the sports culture of city and make Kolhapur Run one of the prime marathons in India and give athletes a lifetime experience KSC-Ruggedian in association with D. Y. Patil Group has organized the Kolhapur Run 2023 on 12th February 2023 at Police Ground (Start and End point of Run), Kolhapur. The Run has held in different categories 50km, 42km, 21km,10km, 5km & special category for specially-abled individuals. The organizers hosted the flag of run along with public representatives. The run was about being healthy and having fun. The entertainment arrangements included live DJs, Lezim performers, Nashik Dhol & Zumba dancers at the ground.
Faculty members from D. Y. Patil College of Pharmacy & more than 50 students from B. Pharm. & D. Pharm. participated & completed the marathon run successfully. All the participants were awarded the Medal & Certificate of Completion.

D. Y. Patil College of Pharmacy, Kadamwadi, Kolhapur, organised a two-day induction programme for the freshmen entrants to the D. Pharm. and B. Pharm. programmes, in line with the D. Y. Patil Educational Society (Deemed to be a University) requirements. The induction programme is aimed at helping new incumbents understand the organisational culture, values, and goals; know about various departments and their nature of work or duties; and further, know more about departmental heads and section heads. The induction programme consisted of interesting activities like motivational speeches, expert lectures, and campus orientation sessions. The rationale for induction was to ensure a smooth transition for the students into the university system.
A total of 84 students and their parents participated in this programme, which was conducted from January 12th and 13th, 2023. Faculty and student volunteers from across programmes worked extensively to ensure that the induction was well organised. The following report includes the schedule and brief notes as part of the induction programme arranged at the D.Y. Patil Medical College Auditorium.
All students and their parents, all faculty members, and organization team were gathered at D. Y. Patil Medical College Auditorium.
The induction programme started with the lighting of the lamp and Sant Gajanan Maharaj Poojan.
The welcome address was given by Dr. V. V. Bhosale.
After that, Principal Dr. C. M. Jangme expressed his views as an introduction to the programme and career opportunities after pharmacy. A campus introduction was given by Dr. Rakesh Kumar Mudgal, Vice Chancellor. He addressed various departments and courses on campus and further highlighted other facilities such as the medicinal garden, all laboratories, the library, the canteen, and all views of campus in his talk. He also focused on the rules and regulations of the D.Y. Patil Education Society. In his motivational speech, he explained the role and responsibilities of a budding pharmacist, the challenges of globalisation, and how to cope with all these challenges. And demands of globalisation.
After this session, brief information about the course diploma and degree in pharmacy was given by Dr. Abhinanadan R. Patil, Associate Professor, such as the infrastructure of the college, tuition fees, scope of pharmacy, importance of pharma education, training and placement details, etc. He also explained information regarding campus drives, hospital visits, industrial visits, guest lectures, conferences, etc.
Thus, the first day of Induction Program was completed successfully in presence of all dignitaries, faculty members, parents and students.On the second day of the induction programme, once again a welcome address was given by Dr. Abhinandan R. Patil to all the D&B Pharmacy students and all faculty members of the D.Y. Patil College of Pharmacy, Kadamwadi, Kolhapur.
After the welcome address, the second day of the induction programme started with the session of academic coordinator Dr. Abhinandan R. Patil, who gave information regarding academic rules and regulations. He explained all information regarding the academic year 2022-2023, such as the practical and theory marking system, how to write assignments and tutorials, and all information regarding the exam pattern involving sessionals and annual exams as per D.Y. Patil Educational Society (an institution deemed to be a university) guidelines. He also elaborated on all rules and regulations along with the syllabus of the Pharmacy Council of India for Degree and Diploma Pharmacy students.
In the afternoon session, Guest Speaker Dr. R. S. Patil, Coordinator, Allied Health Sciences, was there to deliver their session on “Building Careers and Characters”.
In this session, he explained how to start your career and how to get success; further, he motivated and guided our students in their basic character building and interacted with them along with their questions as well.
Thus, by receiving a vote of thanks from Dr. A. R. Patil, the second day was successfully completed in the presence of all dignitaries, faculty members, parents, and students.

D. Y. Patil College of Pharmacy, Kadamwadi, Kolhapur has organized Hospital Visit at “D. Y. Patil Hospital, Kadamwadi, Kolhapur ‘’ on 13th April 2023 for F. Y. D. Pharm. Total 40 students along with two faculty members had visited the hospital. Visit started at 10:00 am. At reception, we were welcome by team members of hospital. Students were divided in two groups and then visited to different department viz. OPD, Blood bank, Casualty department, Medicine store, Simulation and skills centre. A detailed explanation regarding each department was given during the visit. Overall, the visit was very informative and enjoyable.
With the permission of respected Dean & Medical Superintendent and in co-ordination with hospital staff the visit was carried out successfully. Visit was organized successfully by Mr. J.J. Porlekar & Ms. S. S. Patil under the guidance of Principal Dr. C. M. Jangme.

Patil Education Society (Deemed to be University) invited as expert lecture on 05/06/2023 from 11.00 am to 2.30 pm at Dnyandeep College of Pharmacy, Boraj-Khed for First year students in First Year Chassroom. Total of around 60 students and staff participated in this programme. She has explained to the on topic entitled Understanding Basic of Pharmaceutical Organic Chemistry, blue print of the subject, marking scheme and question wise weightage and all syllabus related doubts were clarified during the session.
After her lecture the students were interacted, students felt that the session was more informative and interactive. At the end of the guest lecture, two students gave their feedback, and explained how they were benefited.

To impart knowledge on medicinal uses of various drugs of natural origin, D. Y. Patil College of Pharmacy, Kadamwadi, Kolhapur has organised a botanical garden visit at department of Botany, Shivaji University, Kolhapur on Wednesday, 26th April, 2023.
Students were briefed about nature of various medicinal plants and its morphological characters, identification, biological sources, uses, etc. by Mr. Suraj Devkar (Research scholar Dept. of Botany). This botanical garden has a total of over 700 different species of plants, including about 115 different kinds of palms. It is well known for its palm species of plants. This visit enlightened the students’ knowledge on the medicinal uses of various drugs of natural origin.
On the occasion of Birthday of Hon. Ruturaj ( Dada) S. Patil’s, Trustee of D.Y. Patil group & MLA of (South) Kolhapur, D.Y. Patil College of Pharmacy, Kolhapur organized “Blood Donation Camp” The inaugural ceremony was done by blissful hands of trustee of D. Y. Patil group Hon. Pruthviraj S. Patil.
About 78 bags of blood from D.Y. Patil group employees, students & staff as well as healthy outsiders donated the blood on the occasion of same.The whole event was carried out under the strict supervision of medical and nursing staff by taking proper care of all standard medical procedures and testings. This “Blood Donation Camp” successfully organised under the banner of National Service Scheme by Cultural Incharge & Assistant Professor of D. Y. Patil College of Pharmacy, Kolhapur Mrs. Snehal Kulkarni, NSS incharge Mr. Jaykedar Porlekar, all the staff specially Dr. Ketaki Dhane, Dr. Abhnandan Patil, Mr. Akshay Patil, Ms. Samruddhi Patil, all nonteaching staff and students under the guidance of Principal of Dr. Chandraprabhu M. Jangme.
