Dr. Abhinandan Patil, Associate Professor at D Y Patil College of Pharmacy, Kolhapur, had the distinct honor of representing D Y Patil Education Society Deemed to be University, Kolhapur, as a jury member at the prestigious Aavishkar Research Convention. This convention, dedicated to fostering research and innovation, took place at Punyashlok Ahilyadevi Holkar Solapur University, Solapur, on the 3rd and 4th of January 2024. More than 420 students participated their research ideas in the convention as model and posters.

  Purpose of the Convention:

The Aavishkar Research Convention serves as a platform to showcase and celebrate groundbreaking research and innovation across various categories. The Pharmacy and Medicine category, being of utmost significance, attracted scholars and researchers from Maharashtra.

  Dr. Abhinandan Patil's Role:

Dr. Abhinandan Patil, recognized for his expertise in the field of Pharmacy, was chosen as one of the two jury members from Maharashtra in the Pharmacy and Medicine category. His role as a jury member involved critically evaluating and adjudicating research presentations and projects presented by participants.

  Significance of Representation:

The participation of Dr. Abhinandan Patil not only highlighted his individual expertise but also showcased the commitment of D Y Patil College of Pharmacy to contribute actively to the research landscape in Maharashtra. D. Y. Patil College of Pharmacy, Kolhapur, participated in a state level Poster and Quiz competition organised by Dr. J. J. Magdum College of Pharmacy, Jaysingpur on 31st Dec 2023 out of 30 Pharmacy colleges from Kolhapur and Sangli region. The following students from our college has won awards

Aiming to promote non-violence, peace and brotherhood among people, the Jain International Trade organisation (JITO) and JITO LADIES WING Kolhapur were organised Ahimsa Run along with D.Y.Patil University Kolhapur at 5.30 am on Sunday. The run were held in three categories – 3k, 5k and 10k- organizers hosted the flag off the run along with district administration and public representatives.

More than 24 faculty members from the D.Y Patil University and almost 100 students from the B. Pharm & D. Pharm took the healthy participation and completed the run successfully; participants were awarded by the Medal & certificate.


New College of Pharmacy along with New polytechnic Kolhapur organised national level symposium “Digifest” on 11th April 2023. Students from D. Y. Patil College of Pharmacy, Kolhapur participated in model presentation competition.

The results were evaluated by the Principal Dr. Ravindra Kumbhar from New College of Pharmacy, Kolhapur and Mr. Sujit Desai, from Annasaheb Dange College of Pharmacy, Ashta. The results of the same are as follows

D. Y. Patil College of Pharmacy, Kadamwadi, Kolhapur has organized Elocution Competition & Guest lecture on the occasion of “International Women’s Day” on 8th March, 2023.

The program has hosted by the Mrs. Snehal Kulkarni madam. Program started with the introductory speech by Kulkarni ma’am. Then the nine students have participated into the speech competition on women’s day.

Then, watering of plant done by the Chief Guest & the Principal Sir. Principal sir Dr. C. M. Jangme sir felicitated chief guest with the flowers, Shaal & Sreefal & a small gift as a token of lov on the behalf of institute. The introduction of chief guest done by Mrs. Snehal Kulkarni ma’am.

Further, Dr. C. M. Jangme sir, addressed the students about the importance of women and guided the students with his pertinent speech. The Principal Sir has motivated the students.

Then the mike was handed over to Chief Guest Mrs. Shrilekha Satam ma’am. In her speech she guided students with her expertise of time management, discipline. She talked about the importance of hard work & consistency in the work. She also focused on the misuse of the internet and social media. She motivated students with her talk. She suggested students to complete the extracurricular courses which will be beneficial for the personality development. She told that doing extra activities and courses will improve personality as well as it’s beneficial for their career.

The result declaration of the speech competition and prize distribution done by the Chief Guest and Principal Sir. The first winner of the today’s competition was Ms. Apurva Sanjay Kambale (B. Pharm. 1st year), followed by second winner was Ms. Vaishnavi Chavan (B. Pharm. 1st year) and the 3rd winner Ms. Nandini Shinde (D. Pharm. 1st year).

And then, cake cutting done by the chief guest, ladies staff and the winners of the competition to celebrate the International Women’s Day.

At last, the program ended by the vote of thanks which was given by Ms. Samruddhi Patil ma’am. And lastly, the refreshment for the guest, students, and faculty was arranged.

On June 21st, 2023, D.Y.Patil college of celebrated the 9th International Yoga Day with great enthusiasm. The event attended by Principal, Faculty of the University, all of whom demonstrated a keen interest in this ancient practice. The objective of this year’s celebration, themed “Yoga for Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam,” was to connect with a larger global community and promote the widespread adoption of yoga in every village in India.

The event commenced with a comprehensive introduction to Yoga Day by Dr. Shruti Shinde, the program kicked off with warm-up exercises, during which all faculty members actively participated. They guided through various sitting and standing asanas, with simultaneous explanations of their significance. The instructors emphasized the importance of incorporating yoga into daily life and maintaining harmony between the body and mind. The session lasted for over an hour, witnessing active participation and engagement from all attendees. The yoga instructors provided detailed explanations of each pose and offered guidance on precautions to taken. Undoubtedly, it proved to be a successful event.

The celebration concluded with a token of appreciation presented to the esteemed guests by Dr. C.M. Jangme sir, the felicitation acknowledged their valuable presence
