D. Y. Patil Education Society is established in the year-1987 with the mission to provide best quality education in the area of health sciences comparable with the best institutions in the world.
The D.Y. Patil Education Society (Institution Deemed to be University) was established under Section 3 of the UGC Act 1956 vide MHRD notification No: F.9-26/2004-U-3 dated 01.09.2005. The Sponsoring Society is registered under Societies Registration Act, 1860 with Registration No. Maharashtra/32907/Kolhapur on 21.11.2013.
