An Industrial Visit on 25th July 2023 to Ripcord Pharmaceuticals pvt. Ltd, Gokul Shirgoan, Kolhapur was organized by the D. Y. Patil College Pharmacy Kolhapur. 58 Number of Students from D. Y. Patil College Pharmacy Kolhapur with two faculty member visited Ripcord Pharmaceuticals. They interacted with the pharmaceutical industry to understand different departments and processes of pharma industries with novel approaches. During this visit, students were very eagerly waiting for listening to industrial higher authorities.
In the morning at 11:00 am we visited Ripcord Pharmaceuticals Pvt. Ltd. When we reached the industry, Hr personnel of the industry welcome us and drive us to the meeting room where we introduce our students to Hr. personal and she introduced herself and other members to the students. She introduced students to the various department of the company. we divided our students into a batch of 20 students per batch for the visit and interaction with the industrial person. The Hr. personnel of different departments drove us to visit different departments like the warehouse, production (Manufacturing) department, Quality control department, Quality assurance department, Primary and secondary packaging department, etc. In all departments, departmental HODs have given us information regarding their respective department. After the visit, we leave the place. We reached at College at about 3’oclock. Students enjoyed the visit and also grasped knowledge.

Anti-Terrorism Day is observed on 21st May every year throughout the country. The day is marked by a pledge taking ceremony among other activities. D. Y. Patil College of Pharmacy, Kolhapur has organised the pledge taking ceremony under the NSS activity to promote awareness among all sections of people about danger of terrorism and its effects on people, society and the country as a whole. It was on this day in 1991 that former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi fell to the designs of terrorists. The objective behind the observance of Anti-Terrorism Day is to wean away the people from terrorism and violence.
The activity was started with introduction and significance to Anti-Terrorism Day by Mr. J. J. Porlekar, D. Y. Patil College of Pharmacy, Kolhapur. The pledge taking ceremony was done in presence of all the students of F. Y. D. Pharm. All the teaching staff & non-teaching staff was present at the pledge taking ceremony. Principal Dr. C. M. Jangme, has given significant information in his speech in terms of awareness. Dr. K. S. Dhane, associate professor, has also delivered the informative speech to create awareness in the students.
