The pharmacy profession is undergoing speedy changes. Pharmacist today is emerging as a Health Care Professional, involved not only in the safe and efficacious manufacture of drugs and pharmaceuticals, but also in newer profiles related to research & development, clinical research, marketing & distribution, regulatory affairs, pharmacovigilance and so on. Pharmacist has also become an integral part of hospital & community pharmacy.

The emergence of multidrug resistant infections, newer disease conditions and increasing health awareness in society have contributed to an increased demand for Pharmacists. Owing to this India has emerged as a third-largest healthcare professional group in the world. India is also known as a ‘Pharmacy of the World.’ due to its higher global position in Pharmaceutical production. India ranks third worldwide for production by volume and 14th by value.

With this objective in mind, under the aegis of D. Y. Patil Educational Society Institution Deemed to be University, Kolhapur, is all set to start D. Y. Patil College of Pharmacy, Kolhapur from the Academic Year 2022-23, after getting the approval from Pharmacy Council of India, New Delhi.

The college has a state-of-the-art infrastructure, well equipped ultra-modern and spacious laboratories, well stocked library, lavishly furnished hostel and canteen facility. For integrated development of the students, we sincerely plan to organize training sessions, guest lectures, seminars, conferences, workshops, industrial visits, sports events, cultural activities etc., in addition to the regular academics.
